Below are the links to the websites to complete your Wildself assignment! Please read the directions for each application BEFORE you begin the assignment. Remember that when you save your wildself and wordcloud you are saving them to a specific computer. So if you create them at school you MUST upload them to the Google Presentation from school. Also you must start and complete each application as the websites will NOT save your incompleted work.
Build Your Wildself- click on this link to bring you to the website where you will create your wildself. When you have completed your Wildself (remember to include your name) please follow these directions to save the image on your computer:
1. Click on the "Get A Wild Desktop" tab (bottom of page).
2. A new screen will appear>right click>select the "Save Image As" option.
3. Make sure you remember where you are saving your image (for example: desktop, my documnets, pictures, etc) AND the name of your image so you can easily locate it to add it to the Google presentation.
ABCya Word Cloud- click on this link to bring you to the website to create your word cloud that will describe your wildself. Please remember to use a minimum of FIVE WORDS (not phrases). When you have finished creating your word cloud please follow these directions to save as an image on your computer
1. Click on the "Save" tab (bottom left side of the page).
2. Make sure you remember where you are saving the image (for exampe: desktop, my documents, pictures, etc.) and the name of your image so you can easily locate it to add it the Google presentation.
Google Presentation- Each of the wiki groups will have their own Google Presentation so please click on the appropriate link below and follow these directions to upload and add BOTH your wildself and word cloud to a page on your wiki group Google Presentation. As an FYI- this application will work best using the FireFox or Googel Chrome Browser, but will also work in Internet Explorer. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE BACKGROUND OF THE GOOGLE PRESENTATION!
1. Click on your group link.
2. You will arrive to the Google Presentation site- it will look very similar to PowerPoint. You will see that I have added my wildself and word cloud to the first page following the title page as an example of how your page should look.
3. Find a blank slide by using the scroll bar and clicking on the slide. This will be your page to add both your wildself and word cloud to.
4. When you click on the blank page in the side bar (where the multiple pages are) you will notice the outline of the page will be highlighted.
5. Click on your slide> click Insert>scroll to image>Click on the browse icon and find your image (where you saved it)>click on the image (text will appear in the text box)> click ok
6. Image will appear on your page. You can click on the image to resize it and position it on your page.
7. Repeat the process so that you have BOTH images on your page!
